CHANNAHON, Ill. — A tragic crash in the early hours of Sunday morning has left one woman dead and another person injured, as Illinois State Police continue investigating a deadly collision along Interstate 55 in Will County. According to authorities, troopers were dispatched just before 3:15 a.m. to a two-vehicle crash in the southbound lanes of I-55 near mile marker 246 in Channahon. The Will County Coroner’s Office later identified the victim as 26-year-old Melissa Prosser of Bourbonnais.
