Ronnie Lewis killed in fatal Gaston County shooting; Kandy Walker arrested

GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — A quiet Gaston County neighborhood was shaken Monday night after a deadly shooting left a 59-year-old man dead. Authorities have arrested a local woman in connection with the incident, which has left residents worried and searching for answers.

According to the Gaston County Police Department, officers responded to reports of a shooting at 234 Nassau Place on March 23, 2026, at approximately 11:05 p.m. When officers arrived, they found Ronnie D.
