A tragic hit-and-run incident in Phoenix has left a 44-year-old man dead, sending shock and grief through the local community. The fatal crash occurred early Wednesday morning in west Phoenix, as authorities continue searching for the driver responsible.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers were called to the area near 67th Avenue and McDowell Road at approximately 7:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a vehicle striking a pedestrian. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a man lying unresponsive in the roadway.
The victim was later identified as Michael Arvallo. Emergency responders from the Phoenix Fire Department also arrived and attempted to render aid, but Arvallo was pronounced dead at the scene. His sudden and tragic death has left loved ones devastated and the community mourning.
