Authorities in Dallas are investigating a double homicide after two men were found fatally shot late Sunday night. The tragic discovery has prompted a major investigation as detectives work to determine what led to the deadly violence in the area.
According to the Dallas Police Department, officers were dispatched at approximately 9:47 p.m. on March 15, 2026, to the 12100 block of Audelia Road after receiving a call for assistance. When officers arrived at the location, they discovered two adult males suffering from gunshot wounds. Police quickly secured the area while additional emergency responders were called to the scene.
Authorities later identified one of the victims as 21-year-old Mardreus Ward. Officials said the second victim was also an adult male who had sustained gunshot wounds, but his identity had not yet been publicly released at the time of the initial report. Investigators explained that the name will be released once proper identification procedures are completed and the victim’s family has been notified.
Emergency crews from the Dallas Fire-Rescue Department responded to assist the victims shortly after officers arrived. Despite their efforts to assess and provide medical aid, both men were pronounced dead at the scene. The deaths marked the beginning of a homicide investigation that authorities say remains active.
