The city of Cleveland is mourning after a tragic early-morning shooting claimed the life of 59-year-old Timothy Wallace. The incident has left residents in the Buckeye–Woodhill neighborhood shaken, as investigators continue working to uncover what led to the deadly violence.

According to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner, Wallace was officially identified as the victim following the shooting, which occurred around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday. What began as reports of gunfire quickly turned into a homicide investigation that has deeply impacted the local community.

Officers with the Cleveland Police Department were initially dispatched to the 11700 block of Cromwell Avenue after multiple calls reporting shots fired. While canvassing the area and speaking with witnesses, police learned that a victim had been located nearby, prompting them to expand their search.

Responding officers soon discovered Wallace inside a parked vehicle on Parkview Avenue, suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency responders transported him to a nearby hospital, where medical personnel worked to save his life. Despite those efforts, he was later pronounced dead, leaving loved ones to face an unexpected and painful loss.

During the early stages of the investigation, authorities believed a possible suspect may have been barricaded inside a residence on Cromwell Avenue. SWAT units responded and conducted a search of the property out of caution, but no suspect was found, adding further uncertainty to the case.

At this time, no arrests have been made, and investigators have not released information about a possible motive. Police say the case remains under active investigation as detectives continue to gather evidence and follow leads.
