HENDERSON, N.C. — A quiet neighborhood in Henderson was rocked by violence early Sunday morning after a fatal stabbing claimed the life of 26-year-old Jashia Wright. The tragic incident has left the community in shock as authorities work to uncover the full details surrounding what happened.

According to the Vance County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched around 2:40 a.m. to Vincent Hoyle Road following reports of a stabbing. When law enforcement arrived at the scene, they discovered Wright lying in the front yard of a residence, suffering from multiple stab wounds. Emergency responders immediately began life-saving efforts.

Wright was quickly transported to Maria Parham Hospital for urgent medical care. Despite the efforts of doctors and medical staff, she later died from her injuries. Her sudden and violent death has left family members, friends, and loved ones grieving an unimaginable loss.
