47-Year-Old Stephanie Miller Killed in Afternoon Crash on Meetze Road in Fauquier County

FAUQUIER COUNTY, Va. — A 47-year-old woman was killed Thursday afternoon following a serious collision on Meetze Road, just south of Warrenton, according to the Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office. The crash occurred during daylight hours and prompted a response from deputies and emergency crews.

Authorities said the collision was reported at approximately 3:22 p.m. on February 5, near the intersection of Old Meetze Road and Rodgers Drive. Deputies arrived at the scene to find a heavily damaged passenger vehicle and a large pickup truck involved in the crash. Due to the severity of the impact, the roadway was partially blocked as responders worked the scene.

Investigators determined that a southbound Toyota Corolla, driven by Stephanie Miller of Midland, Virginia, was involved in a collision with a large pickup truck operated by Dominion Energy. Details about how the two vehicles came together have not yet been released, and officials said the investigation is ongoing.

Miller suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities confirmed. The driver of the pickup truck was not injured and did not require medical treatment. No other injuries were reported.

The crash caused traffic disruptions in the area as deputies secured the scene and investigators documented evidence. Motorists were advised to avoid the area while crews worked to clear the roadway and gather information. Officials said they are reviewing all available evidence, including vehicle damage and roadway conditions, to determine what led to the collision.

The Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the cause of the crash and has not announced whether any charges or citations will be issued. Authorities are reminding drivers to remain alert and cautious on rural roads, especially during afternoon travel hours.
