According to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched shortly after 12 a.m. on February 27, 2026, to the 200 block of Woodbriar Path following reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found Richard Aaron Davis Jr., 43, of Rural Hall, suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Emergency responders acted quickly, providing aid before transporting him to a nearby hospital.
Despite medical efforts, Davis later succumbed to his injuries. Authorities confirmed his death, leaving family members and friends devastated by the sudden and violent loss.
