35-Year-Old Rashidi Grant killed in Deadly LaGrange Shooting

LAGRANGE, Ga. — A quiet Sunday evening in LaGrange turned tragic after a man was found shot to death inside a home, prompting a homicide investigation by the LaGrange Police Department. The fatal shooting occurred on November 9, 2025, marking another heartbreaking incident in a community already grappling with rising concerns over gun violence.

Authorities say officers responded to reports of shots fired around 8:35 p.m. in the 1000 block of Houston Street. When officers entered the residence at 1006 Houston Street, they discovered an unresponsive man suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The victim was later identified as 35-year-old Rashidi Grant, a LaGrange resident.

Emergency medical personnel were called to the scene but were unable to revive Grant. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. Investigators from the Criminal Investigations Division have since taken over the case, working to uncover what led to the deadly shooting and who may be responsible.

As of Monday, no arrests have been made, and no motive has been released.
