LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A deadly shooting near Louisville’s Pleasure Ridge Park neighborhood has resulted in the arrest of a 15-year-old girl, police confirmed. The incident happened Saturday afternoon and claimed the life of a 20-year-old man, leaving family members grieving and residents shaken by another act of gun violence involving young people.
Louisville Metro Police were dispatched around 4:14 p.m. to the 3000 block of Fordhaven Road, just off St. Anthony Church Road near the PRP area. According to police spokesperson Sgt. Matthew Sanders, officers responded to reports of a shooting in the neighborhood. When they arrived, they found a vehicle that had crashed into a ditch along the roadway.
Police said officers then discovered a man in his 20s outside the vehicle who had been shot. Emergency responders were called to the scene, but the man was pronounced dead due to the severity of his injuries. The Jefferson County Coroner later identified the victim as 20-year-old Milton Ritchie. Authorities have not released details about how many times he was shot.
