Authorities in Chesterfield County, Virginia, have launched an urgent, active manhunt for 19-year-old Latrell Creighton, who is wanted in connection with a deadly shooting that tragically claimed the life of another young man last month. Police have secured a warrant for second-degree murder after the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Omarion Bryant of Dinwiddie on October 4, 2025.
The incident occurred late that Saturday night. The Chesterfield County Police Department was called to the 20900 block of Third Avenue around 11:02 p.m. following reports of an assault involving a deadly weapon. Officers arrived to find Omarion Bryant suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate life-saving efforts by first responders, Mr. Bryant was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
Following an investigation, detectives quickly identified Latrell Creighton as the suspected shooter. Creighton is described as a Black male, 5’11”, approximately 165 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes, and a distinctive tattoo across the front of his neck. Police have issued a strong warning to the public: Creighton should be considered armed and dangerous, and no one should attempt to approach him. Anyone who sees him is urged to call 911 immediately.
The case has already led to two related arrests. Police apprehended Jalen Johnson of Prince George County, charging him with accessory after the fact of homicide, and he is currently held without bond. Additionally, Creighton’s father, Cordarious Berry, 39, was arrested on separate charges including possession of a controlled substance and possession of ammunition by a felon, indicating potential efforts to evade capture.
Investigators believe Creighton may have fled the state and could be receiving help to stay hidden. The search has now extended to Jackson, Tennessee, where he is believed to have family connections. The Chesterfield Police are coordinating with Tennessee authorities and are appealing to the public in both states for crucial assistance in locating the suspect.
Anyone with information regarding Latrell Creighton’s whereabouts is urgently asked to contact the Chesterfield County Police Department at 804−748−1251, or Chesterfield/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers at 804−748−0660, or to submit anonymous tips through the P3 Tips app. Police stress that every piece of information is valuable in bringing justice for Omarion Bryant and closure for his grieving loved ones.
