RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. — A tragic motorcycle crash early Monday morning claimed the life of a 20-year-old man in Rankin County, leaving family, friends, and the local community grieving. The deadly accident happened shortly after midnight on a rural stretch of highway, highlighting the dangers riders face on dark and quiet roads.

According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 12:38 a.m. on Highway 43 near Mineral Spring Road. Troopers said a 2012 Kawasaki motorcycle was traveling northbound when the rider suddenly lost control. The motorcycle ran off the roadway before striking a ditch alongside the highway.

The rider was identified as Kayden Haden, 20, of Pelahatchie. Authorities said Haden suffered severe injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency crews responded quickly, but there was nothing they could do to save him. No other vehicles were involved in the accident, according to investigators.
