CASEY, Ill. — The city of Casey is mourning the loss of Jim Bolin, a beloved community leader and the creative mind behind the world-famous Big Things in a Small Town attractions. Bolin, who served as Vice President of Bolin Enterprises, Inc., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 27, after suffering injuries during a snowmobile trip. His death has left a deep void in both his family and the community he helped put on the global map.

In a statement shared on Bolin Enterprises’ Facebook page, the company confirmed his passing and expressed profound grief. “Our Bolin companies and the Casey community experienced a profound loss yesterday,” the statement read. “Jim Bolin, Vice President of Bolin Enterprises and the visionary behind Big Things in a Small Town, passed away after sustaining injuries during a snowmobile trip.” The message reflected the heartbreak felt by employees, friends, and residents across the area.
