According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the fatal crash happened just before 2:22 a.m. on U.S. Highway 27, west of Northwest 90th Avenue Road. Jaime was traveling eastbound in his pickup truck when he collided with the rear of a slower-moving pickup driven by a 63-year-old man from Williston. Investigators say the events unfolded quickly, leaving little time for anyone involved to react.
The force of the impact caused Jaime’s vehicle to overturn. During the rollover, he was ejected from the truck and came to rest in the eastbound right lane of the highway.
