Hallie Tobler Killed in St. Cloud Apartment; Husband Found With Life-Threatening Injuries

St. Cloud police are investigating a suspected homicide after a young woman was found dead and her husband was discovered with severe injuries inside a locked apartment Saturday night. The shocking incident has left residents in the area stunned as investigators work to piece together what led to the violent scene.

Police identified the victim as 22-year-old Hallie Marie Tobler of St. Cloud. Authorities said she died from multiple stab wounds. The injured man was identified as 23-year-old Dylan Michael Tobler, Hallie’s husband. Officers say the couple was the only two people found inside the apartment at the time of the discovery.

Officers were dispatched around 8:20 p.m. to a reported medical emergency at an apartment complex in the 3100 block of 40th Avenue South. When police arrived, they found Hallie deceased inside the residence. Dylan was located nearby with life-threatening injuries. The apartment was locked, according to authorities, which has become a key part of the investigation.

Investigators believe Dylan’s injuries were self-inflicted. He was transported to St. Cloud Hospital, where he remains under medical care. Police said once he is medically cleared, Dylan is expected to be booked into the Stearns County Jail on suspicion of charges related to the homicide. Officials have not yet released specific details about the events leading up to the stabbing.

Police confirmed that Hallie and Dylan were married and lived together in the apartment. Authorities also emphasized that there is no ongoing threat to the public. While the scene was deeply disturbing, investigators say all evidence points to an isolated incident confined to the apartment.

The investigation remains active as detectives continue to gather evidence, review the scene, and speak with anyone who may have information related to the case. Anyone with knowledge that could assist investigators is urged to contact the St. Cloud Police Department or Tri-County Crime Stoppers. As the community mourns the loss of Hallie Marie Tobler, officials say they are committed to finding clear answers and ensuring justice in this tragic case.
