Three Family Members Found Dead in Bucks County Home; Suspect Arrested

NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Police have identified the three people found dead Monday night inside a home on Heather Road in Northampton Township, Bucks County, in a disturbing case that has shaken the community. Authorities say the victims were members of the same family, and a relative is now at the center of the investigation.

According to a criminal complaint, 53-year-old Deborah Castiglia was found deceased inside her parents’ home in the Churchville section of the township. Also found dead in the residence were her parents, Frederick Castiglia, 90, and Judith Castiglia, 83. Police have not yet released details about how the three died, pending further investigation.

The suspect has been identified as 55-year-old Kevin Castiglia. Police records show he was charged just one day earlier, on January 25, 2026, with terroristic threats, simple assault, and related charges in an unrelated incident. Authorities have not yet announced whether those charges are connected to the deaths discovered Monday.

Police were initially called to the home after Deborah Castiglia’s boyfriend became concerned when he had not heard from her. The boyfriend, who has not been publicly identified, went to the residence to check on her and reportedly saw Kevin Castiglia covered in blood. He then contacted authorities, prompting an immediate police response.

When officers arrived, police say Kevin Castiglia armed himself with a knife and barricaded himself inside a rear bedroom of the home. Officers were able to enter the residence and observed three deceased individuals inside, but were initially unable to take Castiglia into custody. What followed was a tense standoff that lasted several hours.

Authorities said multiple tactics were used to resolve the situation, including repeated deployments of tear gas, a taser, and cold water. Eventually, Kevin Castiglia surrendered peacefully and was taken into custody. The Bucks County Coroner’s Office will determine the cause and manner of death for all three victims. As of the time of publication, no criminal charges related to the January 26, 2026 incident have been officially announced, and the investigation remains ongoing.
