Couple Inol Toussaint & Eusther Toussaint found dead in suspected Murder-Suicide in Waxhaw

The town of Waxhaw is grieving after a tragic domestic violence incident Thursday afternoon left a husband and wife dead inside their home. Authorities say the heartbreaking event, believed to be an apparent murder-suicide, poses no ongoing danger to the public but has deeply affected the local community.

According to the Waxhaw Police Department, officers responded around 4:15 p.m. to a residence along Pescott Glen Park, near Waxhaw-Marvin Road. Upon arrival, they discovered 49-year-old Inol Toussaint deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. His wife, Eusther Toussaint, was found dead upstairs inside the home.

Investigators called in the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation to assist with the case. Preliminary findings indicate that Inol Toussaint fatally shot his wife inside the residence before taking his own life in the backyard. Officials emphasized that the incident appears to be isolated and there is no threat to the wider community.

Police Chief Dexter Wilson released a statement expressing sorrow over the tragedy, saying, “We are heartbroken by this tragic act of domestic violence that has deeply impacted our community.
