SAN ANTONIO, Texas — The city of San Antonio is mourning the heartbreaking loss of 27-year-old Derek Brown, whose life was tragically cut short in an early morning shooting on the Northwest Side. According to the San Antonio Police Department, officers responded around 1:25 a.m. to reports of gunfire in the 4500 block of North Loop 1604 West, just past Northwest Military Highway.
