Cristoval Ayala Killed in Early Morning Crash Along Levee Road in Yuma

The community of Yuma is mourning the tragic loss of Cristoval George Ayala, 49, who was killed in a collision early Sunday morning, March 1, 2026. According to the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 7:15 a.m. to reports of a vehicle-versus-trailer collision near Levee Easement Road and Avenue 2 1/2 E. When first responders arrived, they found a severely damaged vehicle and quickly began assessing the scene.
