Natchez Man Dies After Vehicle Crashes Into Tree in Adams County

ADAMS COUNTY, Miss. — The Adams County community is mourning the loss of 71-year-old Charles Michael Smith of Natchez, who died in a single-vehicle crash on February 14, 2026. The incident occurred in the early afternoon when Smith’s vehicle left the roadway and collided with a tree near North Palestine Road, leaving family and neighbors shocked by the sudden tragedy.

According to officials, Adams County E911 received a call at approximately 1:53 p.m. reporting a vehicle in a ditch.
