WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Authorities are investigating the tragic death of 15-year-old Brailynn Johnson, who was fatally shot in the early morning hours of November 1 near the intersection of Park Place and First Avenue. According to the Lycoming County Coroner’s Office and the Williamsport Bureau of Police, officers responded shortly after midnight following reports of gunfire in the area. When they arrived, they found Johnson critically injured from a gunshot wound.
Emergency responders quickly transported Johnson to UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport Hospital, where doctors rushed him into surgery. Despite extensive medical efforts to save his life, Coroner Charles Kiessling confirmed that Johnson died in the operating room at 1:27 a.m. from uncontrolled blood loss.
