Anisleys Lantaron Identified as Victim in Fatal Stabbing in Lexington, Suspect Charged

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Authorities have released the name of the victim in Lexington’s most recent homicide, shedding light on a case that has deeply shaken the community. The Fayette County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 29-year-old Anisleys Font Lantaron, a young mother whose life was cut short in what police describe as a violent and disturbing incident.

Lexington police say the man charged in the case is Roberto Buffill-Paredes, the father of the victim’s child. According to investigators, Lantaron was stabbed during a domestic-related incident. Officers responding to the scene later discovered evidence that suggested attempts were made to conceal what had happened.

An arrest citation reveals troubling details about the aftermath of the killing. Police allege that Buffill-Paredes cleaned evidence from the scene after the stabbing. Investigators also say he wrapped Lantaron’s body in blankets “in a manner that would outrage ordinary family sensibilities,” language that underscores the seriousness and emotional weight of the accusations.

Court documents further state that Buffill-Paredes admitted to the charges during an interview with officers. Police have not released additional details about what led up to the stabbing or how long the victim may have been deceased before authorities were notified. The relationship between the suspect and the victim is a key focus of the ongoing investigation.

Buffill-Paredes is currently facing serious criminal charges and is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, January 16, for an arraignment hearing. During the hearing, a judge is expected to formally read the charges and address bond and future court proceedings. Authorities have not yet disclosed whether additional charges could be filed as the case moves forward.

The investigation remains active, and police say more information could be released as the legal process continues. Lantaron’s death marks another homicide in Lexington, drawing renewed attention to issues of domestic violence and community safety. Officials are urging anyone experiencing domestic abuse to seek help and report concerns before situations escalate. This is a developing story, and updates will be provided as new details become available.
