A tragic two-vehicle crash in Wayne Township has claimed the lives of three people and left a community in mourning. The collision occurred on February 14, 2026, at approximately 3:08 p.m. along State Route 60. Authorities say the crash happened when a southbound vehicle crossed left of center, leading to a deadly head-on collision.
According to investigators, 18-year-old Adam Cornelison of Duncan Falls was driving a 2010 Mercury Milan southbound on SR 60. For reasons still under investigation, his vehicle traveled left of center and struck a northbound 2025 Honda CR-V. The Honda was operated by 53-year-old Bradley Stanley of Newark. The impact was severe, causing catastrophic injuries.
Authorities confirmed that Adam Cornelison was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials also stated that he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The collision not only claimed his life but also critically injured passengers in the Honda CR-V.
Two passengers in the Honda, Mackenzie Lawrence, 29, and Brooklyn Stanley, 22, both of Newark, were transported to Genesis Hospital for emergency treatment. Despite the efforts of medical staff, both women later succumbed to their injuries. The loss of three lives in a single crash has left families and loved ones facing unimaginable grief.
