NEODESHA, Kan. — Heartbreak has struck the town of Neodesha after a tragic early morning crash claimed the lives of a young family of three on Monday, November 10, 2025. The Kansas Highway Patrol confirmed that 21-year-old Adam Brooks, his wife, Kylie Brooks, 21, and their 2-year-old son, Kohen, all died following a devastating collision northwest of town.
According to investigators, Adam Brooks was driving west on Granby Avenue when he failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection with U.S. Highway 400. His vehicle was struck by an eastbound semi-truck, resulting in a violent crash that left the family with fatal injuries. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured in the incident.
Authorities reported that Kylie Brooks was pronounced dead at the scene, while Adam Brooks was transported to Wilson Medical Center, where he died from his injuries around 8:00 a.m. Their son, Kohen, was airlifted to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, but tragically passed away about an hour later. Troopers also noted that none of the family members were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash, a factor that may have contributed to the severity of the outcome.
