A tragic late-night shooting in Henrico County has left a community grieving after a 44-year-old man was killed outside a commercial establishment on Brook Road. Authorities are continuing to investigate the deadly incident, which unfolded late Friday night and prompted a large emergency response from police and medical personnel.

According to Henrico Police Division, officers were dispatched to the 7500 block of Brook Road shortly after 11 p.m. on May 22, 2026, following reports of gunfire in the area. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a man suffering from serious gunshot wounds outside a business.
