19-Year-Old Noraa Deglow Fatally Shot in Jeffersontown Apartment; Adam Thomas arrested

JEFFERSONTOWN, Ky. — The Jeffersontown community is in mourning following the tragic death of 19-year-old Noraa Deglow, who was fatally shot Tuesday evening at her apartment. The heartbreaking incident has left family, friends, and neighbors struggling to come to terms with the sudden loss of a young life full of promise.

Noraa was widely known for her kind heart, bright spirit, and warm personality. Those who knew her describe her as compassionate and full of life, someone who could light up a room with her smile. According to the Jeffersontown Police Department, officers were called to the 3000 block of Fir Trail at approximately 7:30 p.m. after reports of a shooting. Despite the efforts of medical staff, Noraa sadly did not survive. Authorities later identified 21-year-old Adam Thomas as the suspect in the case. He was taken into custody at the scene, and police recovered a revolver with a spent cartridge. Investigators say both individuals had been together in the apartment when the gun discharged.

Thomas has since been charged and is being held at Metro Corrections. During his arraignment, he pleaded not guilty, and his bond was set at $500,000 cash. Police have not yet released further details about what led to the shooting, as the investigation remains ongoing.
