Tianah Robinson Killed, Another Injured in Piedmont Park Shooting During Atlanta Gatherings

ATLANTA, Ga. — A tragic shooting inside Piedmont Park has left one teenage girl dead and another injured, casting a shadow over gatherings associated with “404 Day” celebrations. Authorities say the incident occurred Saturday night, prompting a swift and ongoing investigation.

According to the Atlanta Police Department, officers were dispatched shortly after 9:00 p.m. following reports of gunfire within the park. When officers arrived, they located a 15-year-old girl suffering from a gunshot wound to the shoulder. She was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital, where she is currently listed in stable condition.

As officers secured the area and continued searching, they discovered a second victim, 16-year-old Tianah Robinson, who had also been shot. Despite immediate life-saving efforts by first responders, Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene. Her death has left family, friends, and the community devastated.

Homicide detectives have since taken over the case and are working to piece together exactly what led to the shooting. Investigators are examining witness statements, potential video footage, and other evidence in an effort to establish a timeline and identify those responsible.

Preliminary findings indicate that the shooting was not connected to any officially permitted “404 Day” events, which had taken place on a different side of the park and concluded earlier in the evening. Instead, authorities believe the violence may have stemmed from an unpermitted gathering near the park’s west end, though the exact motive remains unclear.

No suspects have been identified, and no arrests have been made at this time. Police are urging anyone who attended the gathering or may have captured photos or video to come forward. As the investigation continues, the Atlanta community is left mourning the loss of a young life while hoping for answers and justice in the days ahead.
