Police have identified the shooter as 27-year-old Selena Eubank of Carrollton, who later died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The devastating incident has left family, friends, and colleagues grieving the loss of a young woman remembered for her kindness, bright spirit, and deep love for the people around her.
The tragedy unfolded around 5:30 p.m. outside TwoRooted Salon at 403 West Main Street, where Taylor worked as a rising salon professional. Officers arrived to find her suffering from multiple gunshot wounds just outside the workplace she helped fill with laughter and warmth. Despite the immediate efforts of first responders, Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene. Eubank fled before police arrived but was located shortly afterward near the 500 block of West Liberty Avenue, where she was found deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Investigators say early evidence points to a domestic violence–related incident, though the full circumstances remain under review.
