COLUMBUS, Ohio — A tragic late-night crash has claimed the life of 53-year-old Florence Vitka, leaving the Columbus community in deep sorrow. The incident, which occurred on Friday, March 27, 2026, has shaken residents as they come to terms with the sudden and heartbreaking loss.

According to the Columbus Division of Police, the accident happened around 10:55 p.m. at the intersection of East Dublin Granville Road and the ramp to Interstate 71 southbound. Authorities reported that Vitka was attempting to cross the roadway when she was struck by an eastbound Honda Civic.
