26-Year-Old Driver, Mohammad Alamin Killed in Rollover Crash in Stockport

A tragic crash late Wednesday night has left the community of Stockport mourning the loss of a young man whose life ended far too soon. The fatal accident, which occurred on March 18, 2026, has raised fresh concerns about road safety as investigators work to uncover what led to the devastating crash.

According to the New York State Police, troopers in Livingston were dispatched at approximately 10:03 p.m. after receiving a 911 call about a serious one-vehicle crash. The incident was reported near 829 State Route 9, prompting an immediate response from emergency personnel.

When authorities arrived at the scene, they found a heavily damaged vehicle that had overturned after leaving the roadway. Preliminary findings from investigators revealed that the car, a 2002 Ford, was being driven by Mohammad M. Alamin, 26, of Hudson. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle at the time of the crash.

Investigators say the vehicle was traveling southbound on State Route 9 when it suddenly veered off the road and struck a western guide rail. The force of the impact caused the car to cross into the northbound lane before crashing into a tree. The collision led to the vehicle overturning, leaving it severely damaged.

Sadly, Alamin suffered fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. The sudden nature of the accident has left many in shock, as family members and friends begin to process the heartbreaking loss of a young life taken without warning.

At this time, authorities have not determined what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle. Investigators continue to examine the scene and gather evidence to better understand the circumstances surrounding the crash. As the investigation remains ongoing, the community reflects on the tragedy and the importance of safety on the roads.
