STRONGSVILLE, Ohio — A tragic domestic-related shooting on Halloween night has left the Strongsville community in mourning after 49-year-old Gina Guyer was fatally shot inside a home on Rock Creek Circle. The suspected gunman, identified as 74-year-old Gene Tomcho of North Ridgeville, remains hospitalized after turning the weapon on himself during a confrontation with police.
According to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office, officers were dispatched to the 22400 block of Rock Creek Circle just after 8 p.m. Thursday following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, police found Guyer critically injured from a gunshot wound and discovered Tomcho still inside the home, armed with a handgun.
