The community of Indianapolis is searching for answers following the tragic death of 18-year-old Traevion Pirtle, whose body was discovered Friday night on the city’s northeast side after he had previously been reported missing. As investigators continue working to determine what happened in the days leading up to the discovery, new developments circulating online have sparked widespread concern and speculation.
Attention has recently turned to a series of disturbing social media posts allegedly made by an Indianapolis rapper known online as Big Billy 4k. Screenshots shared across multiple platforms appear to show the rapper referencing Pirtle’s death days before authorities publicly confirmed that the teenager had been found. The posts reportedly contained threatening and graphic remarks that suggested prior knowledge of the situation.
As the screenshots spread rapidly online, many community members began questioning how someone could seemingly reference the teen’s death before the information became public. The posts have since fueled intense discussion on social media, with residents and supporters of the Pirtle family calling for investigators to carefully examine any possible connections.
At the same time, conflicting accounts have emerged from individuals linked to the home where Pirtle was reportedly last seen. A woman identified online as Sunshine Spivey stated that her family was present when the teenager left the house. According to a statement she shared online, Pirtle allegedly ran away after experiencing what she described as a “bad trip.”
Spivey also said that her family immediately contacted the teen’s mother and alerted police about the situation. She claimed they searched the surrounding area for him and provided investigators with Ring camera footage from the property in an effort to assist with the investigation and clarify what may have happened after he left.
However, Pirtle’s family has strongly disputed that explanation. In a message shared publicly, his mother thanked the community for the support they have shown during this painful time but said she believes her son was betrayed by someone close to him. She also shared that Pirtle had been preparing to leave for Florida to attend college, a milestone he never had the chance to reach.
Authorities have not yet released the official cause of death or confirmed whether foul play is suspected. As investigators continue gathering evidence and reviewing information, the case remains under active investigation. Meanwhile, the Indianapolis community continues to demand answers about what led to the death of Traevion Pirtle and the troubling events that may have occurred in the days before he was found.
