Dallas Police Fatally Shoot Diamon-Mazairre Robinson, Man Who Guarded Congresswoman

Shocking new details have emerged in a case involving a man who once provided personal security for U.S. Representative Jasmine Crockett. Authorities say the man widely known as “Mike King” was actually Diamon-Mazairre Robinson, a suspected fugitive who allegedly impersonated a law enforcement officer while running a private security operation in North Texas.

Investigators say Robinson operated a business called Off Duty Police Services, which connected off-duty officers with private security jobs across the Dallas area. Through the company, Robinson reportedly managed security assignments at hotels, events, and other venues. Authorities allege that while running the business, Robinson used multiple aliases and falsely claimed he was a detective with the United States Capitol Police, a statement that later triggered a federal investigation.

Law enforcement sources say Robinson had a criminal history that included multiple arrests for theft in cities such as Dallas, Duncanville, and Irving, as well as within Dallas County. Despite that record, investigators believe Robinson managed to build credibility by presenting himself as a federal officer. Authorities say the false identity helped him recruit real off-duty police officers for private security jobs and oversee operations through his company.

Robinson’s alleged deception also placed him near political events involving Rep. Crockett. Photos from campaign events reportedly show Robinson standing near the congresswoman while serving as part of her security detail. Campaign finance records also indicate that payments for security services were made to “Mike King” as recently as 2025, raising questions about whether background checks were conducted before he was hired.

Authorities say Robinson further strengthened the illusion by driving a replica undercover police vehicle equipped with items designed to resemble an official law enforcement car. Investigators allege the vehicle even displayed stolen license plates taken from vehicles parked near a military recruiting office. Police believe Robinson used the vehicle and his claimed law enforcement identity to gain trust while conducting private security work throughout the Dallas area.

The case ended in a dramatic confrontation involving the Dallas Police Department at a parking garage at Children’s Health Dallas in downtown Dallas. Officers located Robinson inside his vehicle and ordered him to surrender, but police say he refused and barricaded himself inside. A SWAT team deployed tear gas in an effort to force him out. When Robinson eventually exited the vehicle, authorities say he pointed a firearm at officers. Police then opened fire, fatally shooting him. The investigation into Robinson’s activities and how he obtained security roles connected to political events remains ongoing.
