36-year-old Tracey Huffman killed in Two-Vehicle Crash Near Montgomery

Authorities report that a fatal two-vehicle crash claimed the life of a 36-year-old Prattville man Tuesday evening in Montgomery County, Alabama. The deadly collision involved a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer, leaving the community mourning as investigators work to determine the cause of the crash.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Highway Patrol Division, the crash occurred at approximately 7:26 p.m. on March 10, 2026, along Woodley Road near Snowdoun Chambers Road, roughly one mile south of Montgomery, Alabama. Troopers responded quickly after the crash was reported and began securing the scene.

Authorities said the victim, Tracey E. Huffman, 36, was driving a 2021 Ram pickup when it collided with a 2006 Peterbilt tractor-trailer driven by 28-year-old Jacob A. Asberry of Selma. The force of the collision caused severe damage to the pickup. Huffman suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by responding personnel.

Emergency responders provided immediate assistance, but officials confirmed there was nothing that could be done to save Huffman’s life. The driver of the tractor-trailer, Asberry, was reportedly unharmed, though authorities have not released further details about his condition or whether anyone else was involved.
