WEST PALM BEACH — The West Palm Beach community is mourning the loss of Bradley J. Wloczewski, 32, who died Sunday evening after the SUV he was driving skidded off the road, flipped over, and ejected him. The crash occurred at approximately 5:13 p.m. near Perimeter Road Palm Beach International Airport westbound on Southern Boulevard when he drifted over the curb and onto a sidewalk.
Attempting to correct the vehicle’s path, he over‑steered, causing the SUV to rotate violently, strike a metal guardrail, and roll over. Wloczewski was ejected from the vehicle during the crash, leaving family, friends, and witnesses shocked by the sudden tragedy.
Two passengers were in the SUV at the time of the crash. A 29-year-old woman from West Palm Beach, who was wearing a seatbelt, sustained minor injuries and was treated on-site. A 28-year-old woman from Hendersonville, Tennessee, suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local trauma center. First responders worked swiftly to stabilize both passengers while also managing the chaotic scene.
The crash also damaged nearby property when a piece of the guardrail broke off and struck another vehicle, a newer SUV driven by a 41-year-old West Palm Beach man. He was treated for minor injuries after pulling over safely. Authorities and emergency crews spent several hours documenting the scene, clearing debris, and investigating how the rollover occurred.
Neighbors described the terrifying sound of the crash and the flashing emergency lights that lit up the busy roadway. Southern Boulevard is a major artery in Palm Beach County, linking residential neighborhoods with local business districts. The crash caused significant traffic delays during the evening rush, highlighting the dangers of high-speed driving and the risks posed on heavily traveled roads.
The Palm Beach County Fire Rescue and the sheriff’s traffic homicide unit continue to investigate the deadly rollover. No charges have been announced at this time. Friends and family have created a makeshift memorial near the guardrail where Wloczewski lost control, leaving flowers and photos to honor his memory. The community continues to mourn the loss of a life cut tragically short, while authorities work to determine the full circumstances surrounding the crash.
