ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. — A 23-year-old man lost his life following a devastating single-vehicle crash early Friday morning in Anne Arundel County, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department. The fatal collision occurred along Solomons Island Road, leaving family members and the local community mourning the sudden loss of a young life.
Officers responded to the scene around 2:05 a.m. after receiving reports of a serious crash near Poplar Point Road. When emergency crews arrived, they found a vehicle that had left the roadway and sustained significant damage. Due to the severity of the incident, the department’s specialized Crash Reconstruction Team was called in to conduct a detailed investigation.
Preliminary findings indicate the vehicle veered off Solomons Island Road before striking a tree. Investigators are working to determine what may have caused the driver to lose control in the early morning hours. The driver was identified as Brian Yetter, 23. First responders rendered aid at the scene before transporting him to a nearby hospital with critical injuries. Despite efforts by medical personnel to save him, Yetter later died from injuries sustained in the collision, police confirmed.
