HARDIN COUNTY, Tenn. — Authorities are investigating the death of a utility worker who was found deceased while working to restore service lines following recent ice storm damage in Hardin County. The tragic incident has left family, friends, and the local community deeply saddened.

According to Hardin County Sheriff Johnny Alexander, 42-year-old James Garbo, an employee of Spectrum, was working at a residence on Mulberry Lane in Adamsville on Saturday, February 7. Garbo had been dispatched to the area as part of ongoing efforts to repair and restore utility services impacted by severe winter weather, a task that required working in hazardous conditions.

Sheriff Alexander said the homeowner became concerned after not seeing Garbo for an extended period. Around 11 a.m., the woman went outside to check on him and found Garbo unresponsive beside his work van. Emergency personnel were immediately notified, and Garbo was pronounced dead at the scene.
