BRIDGEWATER, Mass. — A Tuesday evening crash in Bridgewater has left a local community mourning after a 55-year-old woman was struck and killed by an SUV. Authorities identified the victim as Lee Marie Hagerty, a resident of Bridgewater. The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office said the incident remains under investigation as officials work to determine exactly what happened.
The collision occurred around 5:15 p.m. at the intersection of Route 104 and Vernon Street, a well-traveled area in town. Bridgewater police responded to reports of a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle and quickly secured the scene. Emergency crews also arrived to provide immediate medical assistance.
