BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — Authorities have identified the man who lost his life in a deadly shooting late Sunday night following a violent confrontation reportedly involving an ex-boyfriend. The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the victim as 26-year-old Aumarea Kutraveon Luckey Hudspeth, whose death has been ruled a homicide.
The fatal shooting happened shortly before 9:30 p.m. Sunday at a residence located off Flying Hooves, near Loop 410 and South Foster. Law enforcement officers were called to the scene after reports of gunfire, arriving to find a chaotic and rapidly unfolding situation inside the home.
According to investigators, the incident began as a confrontation between a woman and her former partner. Authorities said the ex-boyfriend arrived at the residence and became involved in a physical altercation with another man inside the home. The argument quickly escalated, turning violent within moments.
During the struggle, one of the men opened fire, striking multiple people inside the residence. Hudspeth was shot and pronounced dead at the scene despite emergency response efforts. A second victim suffered a gunshot wound to the arm and was transported to a hospital, where he continues to receive medical treatment. A third individual was also struck by gunfire, though limited details about that person’s condition have been released.
Officers searching the residence discovered multiple firearms, adding complexity to the investigation. Detectives spent several hours at the scene overnight, interviewing witnesses and working to piece together the sequence of events that led to the deadly shooting. Authorities have not released information about who fired the weapon or how many shots were fired.
As of now, no arrests have been made, and it remains unclear whether charges will be filed. Investigators say the case is still under active investigation as they review evidence and witness statements. Hudspeth’s death marks another tragic loss tied to domestic-related violence, leaving family members and loved ones searching for answers as authorities continue their work.
