Anthony Aragon killed in Fatal Auto-Pedestrian Crash in Millcreek Sunday Evening

MILLCREEK, Utah — Family members have identified the man killed in a Sunday evening auto-pedestrian crash in Millcreek as Anthony Aragon, 41, who was known to family and friends as Tony. The tragic incident happened during the early evening hours and has left loved ones mourning the sudden loss of a father and family member.

Unified Police and Unified Fire responded to the crash around 6:20 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of 3900 South and 1215 East. Officers said they arrived to find a man who had been struck by a vehicle. Emergency crews quickly provided medical aid at the scene before rushing Aragon to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

Despite doctors’ efforts, Aragon later died from his injuries, police confirmed. Authorities said the driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. At this time, police have not released information about whether speed, distraction, or other factors may have contributed to the crash.

Family members shared that Aragon was the father of a 13-year-old daughter who lives in Centerville. His sister described him as a caring father whose death has deeply impacted his family. Following the crash, portions of 3900 South were closed between 1200 East and 1100 East as police and fire crews worked the scene.
