21-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed After Multi-County Chase Ends in Fatal Crash in Bexar County

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — A 21-year-old man from Uvalde was killed Wednesday night after crashing his motorcycle at the end of a multi-county law enforcement pursuit, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety. The chase began in Medina County and ended tragically along U.S. Highway 90 in Bexar County, marking another deadly incident tied to fleeing from police.

DPS officials said the pursuit started around 9:30 p.m. when a trooper attempted to stop the motorcyclist for a traffic violation in Medina County. Authorities identified the rider as Damien Kisner. Instead of pulling over, Kisner fled, prompting a chase that crossed county lines as troopers continued to follow him.

According to DPS, Kisner traveled eastbound and eventually reached U.S. Highway 90 near milepost 556 in Bexar County. While riding at a high rate of speed, Kisner veered off the roadway. Investigators said the motorcycle crashed, throwing Kisner from the bike. The impact caused severe injuries, officials said.

Emergency responders were called to the scene, and Kisner was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Despite life-saving efforts, DPS said he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. Authorities have not released additional details about the extent of his injuries or whether any other vehicles were involved in the crash.

At this time, officials have not said why Kisner chose to flee from law enforcement. DPS confirmed that the initial stop was for a traffic-related violation, but no further information has been provided regarding the circumstances that led to the pursuit. Investigators continue to review the incident, including the timeline of the chase and contributing factors.

The crash remains under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety. Authorities continue to remind motorists that attempting to evade law enforcement significantly increases the risk of serious injury or death, particularly for motorcyclists who lack the protection of enclosed vehicles. As the investigation continues, DPS officials are working to determine the full sequence of events leading up to the fatal crash.
