20-Year-Old Myunique Johnson Killed in Tragic Highway Crash in Stratford

The community of Stratford, Texas, is grieving deeply after the heartbreaking death of 20-year-old Myunique Johnson, who lost her life in a devastating crash near Dalhart on Wednesday afternoon. For those who knew her, Myunique’s passing is more than just another tragic headline — it’s the loss of a bright, loving young woman whose warmth and laughter touched everyone around her.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), the crash happened around 1:40 p.m. on November 5, 2025, on U.S. Highway 87, just south of Dalhart. Myunique was driving a Nissan Altima southbound when the vehicle suffered a flat tire, forcing her to slow down. As her car continued at a reduced speed, a semi-truck driven by 39-year-old Daniel Villarreal Guadalupe failed to control his speed and slammed into the back of the Altima, causing a catastrophic impact.

The collision proved fatal. Myunique and her three passengers — 18-year-old Lakeisha Brown of Galveston, 31-year-old Breanna Brantley of Rosharon, and 28-year-old Taylor White of Missouri City — all died at the scene. Guadalupe sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Coon Memorial Hospital in Dalhart. DPS officials confirmed that the crash remains under investigation as they continue reviewing all the details surrounding the incident.

The sudden loss of four lives has shaken Stratford and surrounding communities to their core. Myunique’s friends and relatives describe her as a kindhearted, joyful, and compassionate young woman who had endless dreams and a heart full of hope. “She was sunshine,” one friend wrote online. “You couldn’t be sad around her — she just had that kind of energy.” Many in Stratford have expressed disbelief that someone so young, full of life and promise, could be taken so suddenly.

Even as investigators work to piece together what happened, the emotional aftermath is clear. Vigils, online tributes, and community gatherings have sprung up to honor the lives lost. Residents are coming together not only to grieve but to comfort one another — united by love, loss, and the shared reminder of life’s fragility.

In the quiet aftermath, as Stratford mourns, the memory of Myunique Johnson burns brightly. Her smile, kindness, and joyful spirit continue to echo through the hearts of everyone who knew her. Gone far too soon, she leaves behind a legacy of love and light — a reminder to cherish every moment, and every person, while we can.
