The Cameron County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that 18-year-old Joseph Cruz of Brownsville lost his life after the ATV-type vehicle he was riding in overturned multiple times, resulting in fatal injuries.
According to Sheriff Manuel Treviño, the crash occurred north of the Boca Chica Beach entrance, an area frequently visited by outdoor enthusiasts and off-road riders.
