SHREVEPORT, La. — Authorities have released the identities of the two victims fatally shot while traveling northbound on Clyde Fant Memorial Parkway on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. The Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office confirmed that the men killed in the violent attack were 43-year-old Frederick Kiprono and 18-year-old Tatum Ashley, marking another tragic chapter in a year already marred by deadly gun violence.
According to information shared with Love Shreveport-Bossier, Kiprono was driving for Uber when shots were fired at the vehicle just past East Preston Avenue shortly before 6:45 p.m. The gunfire struck the car without warning, causing fatal injuries to Kiprono, who was pronounced dead at the scene. His death has shaken both the local rideshare community and his loved ones, who are now left to grapple with the sudden, senseless loss.
Tragically, one of his two passengers, 18-year-old Tatum Ashley, was also hit by the gunfire and died at the scene. Ashley’s life was cut short in a moment of violence that investigators believe may have targeted the vehicle. The second passenger inside the Uber survived and was not reported injured, though authorities have not released additional details about that individual or their condition.
The coroner’s office stated that Kiprono was presumptively identified using his government-issued ID, while Ashley was formally and positively identified through standard procedures. Autopsies have been ordered for both victims as part of the ongoing investigative process, which seeks to determine the circumstances that led to the fatal attack.
These two deaths mark the 34th and 35th homicides in Shreveport this year. When combined with the six additional homicides recorded across Caddo Parish, the parish-wide total now stands at 41 fatalities for 2025. The growing number is a troubling reminder of how deeply gun violence continues to impact the community and the families who call it home.
The Shreveport Police Department is actively investigating the deadly shooting, but no further information has yet been released about possible suspects or motives. Officials urge anyone with knowledge of the incident to come forward. Love Shreveport-Bossier will continue to provide verified updates as authorities share new details and progress in the case.
