The victim has been named as 31-year-old Kitana Kendrick, a Rochester resident, according to Capt. Frank Umbrino of the Rochester Police Department (RPD). The deadly shooting occurred around 1:50 a.m. on November 2 near Pulaski Park on Gothic Street, prompting an emergency response after multiple reports of gunfire.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found Kendrick lying in the street with a serious upper-body injury. Emergency responders transported her to Strong Memorial Hospital, but despite all efforts, she was later pronounced dead.
